INTERVISTA A JOSH DALEY IN PARTENZA PER L’ISOLA DI MAN

IL DICIANNOVENNE SI PREPARA AL DEBUTTO AL TOURIST TROPHY

Nel corso di questi anni vi ho raccontato, come meglio ho potuto, il British Superbike, seguirlo ci permette di non essere troppo sorpresi quando dalle sue fila viene annunciata la partecipazione al Tourist Trophy di uno dei suoi protagonisti. So bene che dovrei parlare di più di tutte le categorie e cercherò di farlo, oggi voglio presentarvi meglio Josh Daley.

Josh ha diciannove anni, ha una passione per i tatuaggi, studia ingegneria meccanica, ripara condizionatori, corre nella classe supersport del campionato inglese e…si…fra ventidue giorni debutterà al Tourist Trophy.

Ho realizzato questa mini intervista durante una sua pausa al college, con la promessa di vederci su per una chiacchierata più lunga. Non era la prima volta che scambiavamo qualche chiacchiera, ma chiedergli esplicitamente del TT e sentire la sua risposta, beh lo ammetto, mi ha colpita ancora di più, mi sono dovuta ripetere “ok Lilla è un ragazzo di 19 anni che stai ascoltando”

Ciao Josh. Prima di tutto come stai?

Ciao Lilla. Sto bene grazie, mi sto preparando al TT e guardo il maggior numero di onboard che posso, tornerò su questo weekend. (Non è la prima volta che sento Jpsh prima o dopo un soggiorno sull’Isola nda)

Ottimo, hai appena bruciato la mia prossima domanda. Allora facciamo un passo indietro come va con la tua moto?hai disputato i primi due round del BSB.

Sta andando bene. Ho fatto un buon risultato a Silverstone nella gara di apertura della stagione e quindi ad Oulton Park il weekend appena passato, ho fatto alcuni gironi di test lì ed ho un buon feeling con la moto.

Sei molto concentrato sul TT,se non erro salterai il terzo round, qual è il tuo primo pensiero se pensi al primo giro che farai molto presto.

Si salterò il terzo round del British Superbike a Brands Hatch Indy,per me è troppo vicino al TT e sarà il mio primo anno lì, il mio primo giro non arriverà mai abbastanza in fretta. È ciò che voglio fare da quando ho iniziato a correre ed ora che ne ho la possibilità non potrei essere più felice.

Cosa ti auguri per il tuo debutto?

Non guarderò a tempi o posizioni per il primo anno, se inizi a rincorrere tempi le cose andranno tutt’altro che bene, voglio solo qualificarmi e finire entrambe le gare che farò e guarderò tutti i fogli con i tempi quando tornerò a casa, non voglio vedere un tempo mentre sarò lì.

Non vedo l’ora di vederti correre sul Mountain Course. Direi che questa intervista lampo è finita.

Non vedo l’ora di essere lì. Ok, allora ci vediamo sull’Isola Di Man.

Questo è quanto, ovviamente sull’Isola mi farò raccontare meglio non solo dei primi giri lì, senza parlare di tempi, ma dei suoi tatuaggi e se avete domande o curiosità sarà mia premura far da portavoce! Ci vediamo sull’Isola Di Man!

INTERVIEW WITH JOSH DALEY BEFORE HIS TT DEBUT

During these years I’ve talked, as much as I could, about the British Superbike, following this championship allows us of not being surprised when a rider from its lineup announce he’ll ride the Tourit Trophy. Today I want to introduce, with a fast interview Josh Daley.

Josh is 19 years old, he loves tattoos, he studies Mechanical Engineering and also work as an Air Conditioning Engineer Emoticon, he ride in the Supersport class in the BSB and….wel…yes…he’s going to debut at the next Tourist Trophy in 22 days.

We had this short interview during his break at college, with the promise to meet on the IOM for a longer chat. It wasn’t the first time for me to talk with Josh, but the first asking him explicitly about the TT, I’ve been truly impressed by his answers at some point I’ve been forced to reminder me I was talking with a nineteen-year-old.

Hi Josh. First of all how are you?
Hi Lilla. I’m good thank you. Just preparing for the TT and watching as many onboards as I can, back over there this weekend.

Well. You’ve just fired my next question about the TT, so one step back. How’s going with your bike, you’re doing great in BSB in these two rounds.

Going well, got a good result at Silverstone in the opening race of the season and then at Oulton Park the weekend just gone, done a few test days here and there and feeling comfortable with the bike

You’re focused on the TT (am I wrong you’ll miss the third round). What’s your first thought if you think about the first lap you’re going to do soon?

Yes I will miss the third round of British superbikes at Brands Hatch Indy as for me it’s too close to the TT with this being my first year at it, my first lap can’t come quick enough. It’s what I’ve wanted to do since I ever first started racing and now I’m getting chance to do it I couldn’t be happier

What do you wish your debut?

Not looking at times or positions for the first year, if I start chasing times things will more than likely go wrong, I just wish to qualify and finish both races and look at the time sheets when I come home, don’t want to see a time sheet whilst I am there

I can’t wait to see you on track! Ok for now I guess the interview is finished. We will have long chat on the IoM.
